Default Old Fashioned Root Beer Float

During the afternoon at work today I stepped outside to the parking lot to get some fresh air. It didn't take me long to retreat back into the air conditioned comfort of the office. It was hot outside! I thought about going to get another sno ball like I did last week but I would have had to get in a hot truck and byt the time the a/c would have been blowing cold air I would have probably been drenched in sweat so I just settled for a bottle of cold water from the fridge. I did get to thinking about all the refreshing way to cool down and a root beer float was one of them.
On the way home this evening I had to make a stop at Dorignac's so while there I picked up some Kleinpeter's vanilla ice cream and a six pack of Abita Root Beer. I guess you can tell where this is headed. Tonight I indulged in an old favorite, A Root Ber Float! Wow! That was really good.

Have a look for yourselves.........
Notice how the bottom outside of the jar started getting frosty.

Using and old fashioned Ball canning jar just seemed right for it too.
