For tails I like the 7ft Med-light trout series rod from Duce Rods, For tops I like the 6'8" Med action rod from Duce Rods and for Mirrordines/Corkys I use the 7ft Med action Duce Rod. They work great for me!

what type of action do you boys look for in these rods? are you wanting something with some finesse or something that has the backbone to handle all around fishing.

Didn't hear much about duce for a while after there were a lot of problems with customers not getting their rods back after sending them away for warranty. Has their quality both in rod blanks and customer service improved?

I dont think there was ever an issue with their rod blanks. But they were having some warranty issues and all of those issues have been taken care of from what i have seen and heard. I just had one switched out with no issues.

I was actually about to start building some rods of my own. Buddy of mine does it on the side. 7' split grip, microwave guides medium action.

basspro shop had a deal on penn battle II's a while back that i picked up but the rod is trash. It's a 6'6" fast action. That thing bends pulling a crappie jig across the water. Love the reel though LOVE IT

Duce has new owners. Met him at the boat show in Gonzales. Seemed like a nice guy and serious about it.
