pretty much, mine looked like a new gun when I bought it and I don't even think if it had ever been fired

You can get these things still packed in grease and never used. They are so cheap because they're are so many out there. They were made by the thousands. This is why they are so rough around the edges. Made for military and savilian use. They are very simple and very tough. The only draw backs are a tricky safety to deal with and the straight bolt handle if you want to put a scope, but theyre are modifications available to help that. There is a site online that you can mail your bolt assy to and they will send you another bolt assy with the bolt bent to the style of you choice and the safety ring on the back for $55 bucks shipped! Polished and ready to go! I do not reccomend the scope rail that replaces the rear sight. It will never be sturdy enough to hold tight its position, so dont waste your money there. Also avoid the bolt replacemendt kits. It has a long and hard trigger also, but that can be adjusted yourself.

I have one brand new never fired I'll sell for $75. Just like Lake Chucks. Has all the accessories as well. Bayonet, sling, ammo bag and 10 bullets.
