Went this passed Friday. Close to the Holly Beach water tower. Caught about 5 dozen in a couple of hours and that was mid day. Turkey necks and string. Good size and full.

This message is copy righted and a fee of 1 dozen LIVE crabs are expected upon use of this information.

I work on the river at the south end of Lake Chuck. We've seen baitfish move back in to the area but very few crabs so far. Also, there hasn't been a lot of activity with the folks that usually crab by the Conoco docks on Mike Hooks Road.

Tons of crabs behind the weirs, just pick a point with some moving water and drop lines from your boat. If you have some trout that works the best, you can get some trout from the guide buckets they put out when they come in, you usually catch a good 5 dozen limit in a couple of hours or less.

Went to Westbay Rec Area last week and caught 6 dozen BIG crabs 6" average, shut off when the water stopped moving. Catching 3-4 at a time on chicken quarters.

We didn't catch them all on the refuge. It should read, came home with 6 dozen. We hit another spot too, after the water quit moving, just didn't get too many.
