Default Welsh Speck Hunting

Wasn't able to hunt yesterday due to an interview, but my dad hunted in klondike and killed a limit of specks and 5 snows. He had to work this morning but I hunted in welsh. I took one of the farmers we lease from and a few friends and limited by about 8:10. We didn't fire a shot until 7:30. Same story with klondike yesterday, that early morning fog has those specks real spooky but once it burns off we start getting our specks.

So far we have killed 69 specks and 6 snows. Thats out of 9 hunts and only missing a limit 1 hunt (the day my dad hunted welsh and killed 1 speck). Can't complain about the hunting this year, only about the heat!

I haven't hunted on any of our goose leases. I have been burning all my time around fenton on one lease. We killed 4 specks one day and none on any other hunts. We are seeing verrrry verrry few though. Around 40/ hunt maybe. Of those very few are workable. I hear it picks up around that area from Thanksgiving and on. I am looking forward to getting into the geese. I like the sound of my new Riceland call, I think it works well.

Enticer, I live just south of Fenton in Lacassine. Yes the speck hunting gets better as the season goes for both snows and specks. I have noticed more geese flying later in the day say after 10am. I hope you do well.
