Default Big Lake this weekend ?

Anyone going to try this weekend? Went by Calcasieu Point to check the water and it was fresh and muddy.

Been busy with my son playing baseball this year. We really haven't had the time to go. May go Sunday or next weekend.

I'm going to give calcasieu estuary a try tomorrow against my better judgement . weekend and Saturday!! Much less fresh muddy water with what looks to be only a outgoing tide all day. Been having tripped planned for Sunday and have to go find something somewhere. Idk Sabine. Reminds me of May. There will be limited places for trout but if I can find the bait hope to find fish . boxed a few last week and it was terrible. Looks like a couple boats from HR&G boxed a few today. Idk though. Not real exciting about chances and may target flounder and reds

Went last weekend and water wasn't terrible all over. Was muddy by the ship channel but the southeast side was decent. Caught some nice trout in that muddy water surprisingly. The bulk reds are running out there still also.

Boat has been hooked up and ready to go but this damn rain won't end. So I'm debating on fishing in this crap now. Have to run so far south or would not care
