Heard great things about them. Just haven't heard how they hold up in salt water. Not sure your fishing style, but I'm sure they're the "tits"

I bought one of the Lew's Speed Spool reels from The Tackle Box a couple of months ago. The Lew's is great reel IMO, very smooth, light, cast far, and would recommend to anybody. Don't fish saltwater much so couldn't say how they would hold up. I have never owned anything else but shimano, and as far as i'm concerned I'll never own another shimano with the way they are making them know.

I bought two Lews in Feb and one of the two I use it then put it up without spraying a lite spray of fresh water on it when I get home from fishing like I do all my reels. I'm doing this to see who long it will last and if it will effect it at all. I use them in saltwater only and I have not had one problem. Another person I fish with has been having one for about two years with no problems and it is used in saltwater and freshwater. Hope this helps you.
