Looks like there are two cells, one on top of you and one just to the west... It appears that they are slowly raining themselves out, but both are not moving much...

If you are in a bind call 911, there may be some fish cops that can bail you out...

Stay low !

Got caught in bad lighting storm in a pirogue crossing open water. Very humbling experience. Didn't panic and try to paddle for dear life as i figured id only die tired. Someone how made it to the bank safely. Good luck big guy.

This picture is from yesterday after the rain let up. The guy in the blue shirt kept fishing most of the time it was raining. There are 2 other guys in the boat laying down.

It poured for 20 minutes and had 20+ mph winds with some lighting...booom, all around us.

I pointed my umbrella into the wind and held on. I accually stayed fairly dry for the first 5 minutes.

As much as I try to not get into these situations, if I do I will get out of the boat and lay flat in the marsh, on a beach, or just put a life jacket on like shorts and float in the water.

Anything is better than staying in the boat ! Chunk an anchor out and get as far away from it as possible ...

I know the feeling. I had to hunker down over an hour before. Most scared I have been in the yak. Through my rods in the marsh there was so much lightening and hunkered down for awhile. Here is a pic as front rolled in.
