Bounce Anyone Crazy as me?

I may and I stress may take a trip today to Hopedale. I am looking to try out the new fly rod and the weather actually looks better today (midday) than it does tomorrow. I won't be leaving till 9 or 10 if I go. A. Does anyone want to accompany me? B. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I could get on some redfish closer to Baton Rouge than Hopedale? Any and all suggestions are welcome even ones telling me how crazy I am.

It's beautiful in Houston today, bright and sunny. If it's half as nice there, you're not crazy.

Hopedale Hustler just gave me the update. Winds out of the NW at 250mph. I think I will sit this one out. I will try again tomorrow.

I don't know how far Hopedale is for you but Big Lake is about 2.5 hours west of the Mississippi river.

Sometimes you can catch Redfish in the Lake Charles area.....Not too good right now....too much fresh water. Lake Charles would be just under 2 hours starting from the Mississippi river bridge.

I am not as crazy as I thought I was. I wussed out this morning too. I guess I am starting to level off between my obsession and common sense. I really want to try the fly rod out and the 20 mph is just not conducive. I am a little disappointed with myself, but I will just have to stay at home and watch the Saints. WHO DAT!!!!!!!!!!!!
