Default Saints

WOW..

Just heard on the news the saints don't plan to resign or released Will Smith, Vilma, Greer and one other player.. Freeing up about 17 million against the Cap...

All of these on a pretty depth-less defense..

Hopefully they looking to draft some awesome D players.

greer I liked and was the best of the group leaving but he was always hurt (cant remember him playing a full year in a long time) and he was getting slow and being beat a good bit of the time so he needed to go even though he was the best of what we had which is pretty sad.

I too think they will give away the next years season to sign graham and then be left with a 3rd string defense for the next 2 or 3 years and go nowhere.

as good as graham is, the smart move would be to trade graham to a team of our choice for a first, second, and 3rd round picks while he is worth the most to another team before he starts to decline (which I think he is showing signs of already IMO). he no longer can get open if he is bumped at the line of scrimmage like he used to and teams know that.

if graham were gone they would have the money to bring in 2 or 3 top defensive players to rebuild a pathetic defense and get a few offensive linemen to protect brees before he gets killed back there. brees is getting old and lets face it he may only have 2 or 3 years left and you can already see his talent is not want it used to be so if they want another super bowl it has to be this year or next.

its a shame when the team cant score enough points because our defense never stops anyone or if brees is running for his life because they have no protection and receivers that cant get open

Saints had a top 10 defense. The games they lost were because the offense didn't show up.

QB's are expensive. Jay Cutler, Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco, Eli Manning all make more than Brees. Unless you want Luke Mccown running the offense.

They had the number 4 def in the league last year. Those 2 of the 4 didn't play, Harper can't cover a turnip and Greer is 3? with a broken leg.

Mickey Loomis is one of the top GMs in the league he knows what he's doing.

As far as Graham...... last half of the year he had some amjor alligator arms and DBs were getting into his real easy. He's a beast at home but he hasn't done diddly squat on the road.

We missed a burner WR that kept the field open IMO that along with no Carl nicks and bad O line kept us dinking and dunking. Stills is ok but his route running ain't great if Morgan wouldn't have been hurt it would have been better. We need a WR with some separation speed. Mickey Loomis is a beast we will be fine.
