Best guy around and he does insurance work!
Located behind North Gate Mall on Evergreen Street, ask for Lyle. Make sure you tell him Bryan Foti sent you. He will fix it and you will not be able to tell that incident happened!!!! Trust me, he has fixed more crap to my boats from stupid stuff than I care to remember! Lyle Jordan 278-6532 A+ Fiberglass |

Ouch!
That didn't take long. . I've got a few gel coat scratches on my boat I plan on getting fixed after the season.(I'm sure I'll get more during the season too.). The research I've done has pointed me to Tri-Parish fiberglass in Covington. It's a ways to go but I hear they are good. Good luck with the warranty. |

By the way, mine needs to get over there for a boat/trailer/loading incident - so don't feel pregnant!

Saw the picture of the troling motor, but didn't understand how that happened. Can you fill us in on how that shaft goes over the front of the boat at 55mph. Did it jump out due to rough chop? Your mount is different from my Riptide, so I want to make sure that doesn't happen to me!!!

Wasnt going 55. It was about 40. We were in the intercoastal smooth as glass. Came across a small wake from a boat. One of those you cant see. Boat bounce off the wake. Then for some reason ( im guessing here) the movement foward and down force of the bow. Must have jared the release lever And the trolling motor unlocked slid foward down in the water at 40+ and snapped. I had the collar in place and it slid too.
Slow down and ran to the bow and shaft was just hanging on by some fiber and the wires. Saw the gash when we put the boat on the trailer Ive been in some ruff stuff and this never happened! Like last sat cca trout shoot out no problems. Sucks!! sent from my Galaxy NOTE II Last edited by alphaman; 06-10-2013 at 12:35 PM. |

You might get minn Kota to let Lyle fix it for you and pay some if not all of the expense.

I'll third Lyle's work. I thought it was a little expensive but its not something I can do myself so I was willing to pay.

Lyle does good work....he rebuilt my whaler years ago did a great job. Added raised front deck new console glassed in leaning post with storage on each side and rear deck. Removed all of the rails too. Before and after pics..the after pics are 5 years after he did the work. Not bad for a 1970 model.

Max at Olmstede shipyard in Lake Charles does terrific work. Also takes insurance claims. I have had my boat there 2-3 times and always had good results.
