Default E-tec whining noise

2010 evinude Etec 250 runs great but lately has been making a high pitched screaming noise when running. Noise isn't constant, just every minute or so for a few seconds.
Sounds kind of like a loose washer spinning on a bolt.
No paricular rpm or speed makes it so it, but usually when running 3500+.
Removed cowling and everything looks great.
No problems with it, but the noise makes me think there may be eventually.
Any ideas?

Thanks guys.

Fortier Boat Works in New Iberia is a dealer with Evinrude I bring my 2008 90 hp to them and they always get it right and longest I ever waited was a month and it was back to me. Mine left me 2 weekends ago at burns point, it was turning over but wasn't firing off I'm hoping to hear something this week from them. Might can call them and see if they'd have a diagnosis for you.

Wonder if that could be some kind of alarm warning?

might be one of those air pumps for the pollution control they put in 2 strokes now but have the flywheel checked and re-torqued just to be safe
