Default July Inshore Reports

After a slammed June schedule, I took a much needed 7 day vacation in the first part of July and did some recovering and scuba diving. Ended up diving the USS Oriskany and seeing a white shark,...90% positive ID...an image that will forever be etched in my brain. After vacation I dove right back into trout fishing and this time out of Dularge. Thursday 7/10 started a 6 day stretch and what I hoped to be an increase in the trout population. Well, Scott and Judy Carter found 60 of them willing to come in the boat. The next day I was down in Fourchon for the Oilmans Rodeo and it was awful fishing. 11 trout in two days of fishing. The second day I burned 45 gallons of fuel looking for a trout. Sunday I ran back to Dularge and found the coast spattered with thunderstorms. Brian Jones and his sons Burke and Quinn wanted trout. We did what we could before the lightning got close. Monday morning I had new customer Oran Lambright and his buddy Marvin. They fished hard all day, but caught 6 reds for the day. Tuesday 7/15 I had Jeremy Nelson and his family from Alabama looking for a good time and they found it. It's not always about the number of fish at the end of the day but the smiles on the kids faces and genuine family time!

I have a few days left available in July and August! Let's hope the weather cooperates!
