Default Vbay fishing refresher

What do you guys think about this cold front this weekend?
will it be strong enough to push more trout into the bay?

what needs to happen to get the trout moving?

There's so many things you can record but I keep it simple.

Record the number of fish caught, where I caught them, and water temp.

Every now again I throw some weather conditions, tides, moon and stuff

I tried keeping a journal but that lasted about 2 trips. I just take a picture and put it in my photo album. I got the date and how many fish I caught, I can usually remember the rest. I could geotag it with my camera but sometimes I post them and cyberpotlicking is real.

Last year it wasn't really until the end of Sept that the fishing really turned on. Right now there are so many sharks in the bay any kinda fish that stacks up is going to be in trouble. The water is also hot, very very hot. Once the water temp drops into the mid 70's they should start moving in. Usually by the time the second cool front moves in the fishing gets right.

Jim picked me up @ 5:30 this morn (Thursday) and we were @ Burn's Pt. by 6:30. We watched the rain and lightening for almost an hour and was back in New Iberia by 8:30. Smart move. Did not even put the boat in the dirty water. Wind high out of the SW and this is not good.
