Default What is this?

Does anyone know what this is in Cameron? It is about two miles east of Chesson's Grocery. It has a boat launch, and does not appear to have any gates.

Hmmm, bet it's someone's nice, private huntin' and fishin' hole. It looks like there is a Gate right at the last cattle guard before you get to the launch. That boat launch is pretty new, built sometime between 2010 and 2012. Before that, that road followed that levee to the south end of the property and connected up with a road down there.

Might have historically been some moist soil units, because it looks pretty dry in the April 2010 aerial.

It's called Miller's Lake owned by Grosse Savanne. I fished there once and the Bass Fishing is unreal, Almost every cast. So Thick!! They fish out of the Express Shallow water 20's. The first trip was a gift but I will def be booking another trip there soon! I also spoke with them about doing a kayak tournament there in the Spring. Possibly tagging a few bass and offering cash prizes for catching them.

I don't have a kayak, but I'd be looking to borrow one!
