IMO......

Those things should be ilegal to manufacture them, ilegal to sell them and ilegal to have one.

The only purpose of radar detector is "help" a driver break the law and make driving more unsafe for other drivers on the road.

If you really want to know how I feel..............

I own a radar detector and I still only drive maybe 5 miles over the speed limit. I just like to know where they hide out at. My friend has one that lets you know when you are around a traffic light camera. That thing is sweet man. Wish I had one.

expect to pay around 400-500. The latest model is the v1 i think, and it's bad arse. my current unit. K40

lasted me 7 years and i've only gotten 1 ticket(in which they paid, up to a year after purchase)

i've taken that trip from laffy to houma plenty o times...and the worst part is the patterson area.i go through no problemos and always make good time. (less than an hour sometimes)

a tip on driving, with or without radars....

never EVER ride in the left lane,

never EVER speed(if you choose to do so) on an open road with no cars head of you.
