Default Ever had this happen?

I was at the washout Friday for an afternoon trip drifting along with the South wind. The water was very pretty just off the channel and I starting seeing little pops on the water. I looked down and there were shrimp all around my boat! Thousands of them! Only problem, no fish! Not one trout, red, lady fish, gafftop, hardhead....Nothing! No blow ups, no shrimp jumping out of the water. Cant remember this ever happening on big lake. Hope it never happens again! Next time I would like to see a big school of yella mouths under them shrimp!

happened to me in grande isle once fishing the surf... you could actually feel the shrimp hitting you while you were fishing... went get the cast net filled up the ice chest and kept a few for live bait... not long later we had our limit of specs

Last week the shrimp that I saw jumping in Big lake were small......maybe 100 count size. What size shrimp did you see?

They were not big, but they were comparable to the bait shrimp you can buy with a few nice ones mixed in.
