Yeah i've seen many oldsqaws out there before. Last year in feb i was fishing in lng and saw a flock of about 20.

There are a bunch of loons out there right now.........they are here just about every winter and become use to all the boats......

i noticed that the loons would just pop up their heads occasionally and dive back down. May be the new Big Lake techinique for fishing the birds? Yeah, no?

They are reported towards Grand Isle occasionally. I would like to get some pics of the oldsquaws to verify their occurence over in the west portion of the state. Pretty cool ducks

They are, but alot of people don't realize the amount of sea ducks that actually migrate here. When i guided for hackberry rod n gun club one morning i killed a white winged scoter in holly beach.

Where on the lake is it more likely to see the Long-Tailed Ducks or seaducks for that matter? These are some cool ducks.

I've seen the in turners before,and also along the ship channel. The last ones i saw was in the back of lng
