Boat ramp question

I do not know if the boat launch located just north of the I-210 [south end] is open.... construction on the bridge may be using that area for storage. The launch it's self is very good.
Note: I have not launched at the I-10 boat launch in 15 years. BUT>>>The launch on the east side of the I-10 bridge is not very good. When backing a trailer into the water, the tires will drop off the end of the ramp making it very hard to get the trailer back out of the water. It use to be that a small boat could be launched if you backed end on the very north part of the ramp. The drop-off was not bad there. There is a fairly good public boat launch about a mile north of the I-10 bridge on the West lake side of the river. |

Thanks Gerald. I told him about the launch in Westlake and also the one at the salt water barrier. Unless I hear from someone that the one on the east end of the 210 bridge is open, I will route him to the river or Prien Lake Park. He could even launch at Calcasieu Point if necessary.
