Default Help with gps !!!

I NEED HELP !!!!!i have a used lowrance 160 map gps, i was wondering where to connect the white and green wires,it says recieve and transmit and has a black wire, which i know is the ground , but dont know where to hookthe green and white wires,.. thanks

try going on lowrances website & see if you can pull up owners manual.

I wouldnt hook up any wires without the owners manual.

Default help gps

didnt hook up anything yet, i know how to hook up the power and the antenna, but there is another cable that plugs in the back of the unit ,a nd the diagram shows a green wire (recieve) and a white wire (transmit) and a black wire which is the ground, but dont know where to tie in the green and white wire the mauel online doesnt show where they hook up

That might be for the network.

Do you have a seperate power line?

yes i have a seperate power line and ground, didnt hook it up yet.i dont know if i need the other cable, and what do you mean for the network,i have another cable still in the box to hook up to my computer. i think i may rund the poer wire to the battery and ground it and see what happens, thanks guys

You don't need those other wires for your unit to work

That is for nmea input or output for transfering gps info to other units like a vhf with dsc

Not to hijack but mother in law with bad heart problems and taking care of her and her mother. I am pretty much bringing the kids to school and picking up, dinner, etc as I am letting my wife spend as much time with her mom as possible. Also, taking care of her grandmother at the house as well. Been a roller coaster for sure
