Bow of boat under the roller during loading
It's impossible the load the boat alone. 2014 excel 220 bay pro. Diamond city trailer. |

Can you adjust the roller to go down a few inches?

Mine does that if I back the trailer into the water to far.

Roller
Fight this often, only thing we have found to do is back the trailer in as normal and get the hull partially on the trailer, pull the truck up to compensate for the angle and winch it up the rest of the way. Pain in butt, and yes even worse alone.

I'm glad that I'm not alone. I have lowered the roller down about 6-8 inches. Still does it on a not so steep launch. When I loosened the nuts the boat dropped about 6-8 inches (hard). Now the roller is right below the balance point of the boat.

How far are you backing down into the water. The top of the finders shouldn't be under the water.

Post pics of the boat on the trailer

I am backing down until the back of the fender hits the water. From that point I have to go full throttle and someone has the turn the winch to get the boat over the roller.
Here's a side view before I moved the roller down. Kinda far away, but I can get a better pic tonight if need be. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1409682414.525925.jpg |

Don't back in so far down the ramp. Use your motor to push your boat up the boards and up to the roller. Problem solved.

I've tried that too. This is not my first boat, but it is the first one that I can't load alone.

have you tried adjusting the trailer bunks? Make the front higher than the back.

Can you post a pic with the entire tounge in the shot?
You may also need to move the post back a little or flip the roller? |

Yep the front of your bunks are too low.

Trim your motor out to create s little lift. Had the same problem with my boat until I fixed where the bow stop hit

I'll get a better/closer pic tonight. I have about 1" of adjustment to up on the bunks as they sit right now.

Then lower the rear of the bunks. Go back to dealer and take some measurements on another rig.

Bow of boat under the roller during loading
You should be able to raise the front of your bunks a little a
Have you smacked that cross member halfway between your bunks and roller? |

Sounds like you could back down a little more. The more you back down, the lower the roller relative to the water level. Of course if you back down to far, you boat won't be touching the bunks when it reaches the roller.
