Default Corkys vs Tsunamis

Well now that corkys are not available what is the next best option? Are the tsunamis just as good? What about those other ones that mikethetiger55 posted?

corky wins hands down, but tsunamis do work

if i could not find a corky i would rather throw a catch 2000, rat tail, or a broke back (redfin, bomber, slapstick)

tsunamis aren't even close. take a corky and tsunami and test em side by side - corky sinks at a gradual rate while the tsunami drops like a rock. They were practically giving away the tsunami cork baits here in h-town - could get 10 in a pack for $10. That ought to tell you something right there.

BTW you can still get the corky - Paul is making them until the end of the year then MirroLure is supposed to have their version in the stores some time around Jan.

Tsunami are good, however I do not think they are as good for the Big Trout as a Corky. Tsunami are strictly swim baits and I think compete more with chubs and sand eels (soft plastics). Cast and reel in like you would a crank bait. I like the 3" swim shad in either Glow or Purple Haze! To me, you need to compare a corky to a catch 2000.

I don't like em. I have a few if someone wants em - just have to pay me for shipping. I bought a bunch at the beginning of the year as fishing tackle unlimited was giving em away.

How you going to fish a bait that hasn't given you any results? I've yet to see you land a BIG fish, with a tsunami or a corky for dat matter
