Default When does good fishing end in vbay and weeks?

When does the speckled trout bite die in the bay? Also what temps drive the redfish off the flats and into the holes?

ppl are tight lipped about the bay, myself included, but I'll say as long as the water is pretty you'll find trout into December.

Watch the river stage. If it stays below 10ft at butte Larose the trout will stay in the bay all through winter. Over the years we have caught in March if the water stays somewhat salty.

It's been my experience that as it gets later in the fall/winter, the fronts seem to come more often thereby stirring up the "wadah" for longer periods of time. Additionally, the calm days seem to be more infrequent, but I believe Reedman has it right with the river level also.
