I've got the same problem with my Savage. I have to keep my index finger on my clip when chambering a round. Past that, it's I credible!

i have the savage synthetic with the same problem as ya'll, i hate that you cant get a bigger clip for them also. If you look in my pics the 150lb boar in there is what i killed with mine. I was running our duck lease when he started running next to me on a levee, when he would swim from levee to levee i would shoot him, got him 3 times in the head and i dont know how many times in the body while he was running the levee before he finally fell, a lot of adrenaline there i figured but will definitely leave a hole
