The smallest size spinning reels on 6' rods rated for 4-10 lb line. Currently have 4. Love them.

B'n'M Duck Commander Crappie rod (6') and Okuma Avenger Spinning reel loaded with USA braid (smallest you can find) and a 3-6' 10lb Flouro Leader. I love it and have 3. With this you can throw weightless Zoom Tiny flukes nose hooked and really catch big bluegill and Goggleye. I use the braid and 10lb because you end up catching a lot of bass and choupique as well.

10 foot jig pole with about 4 feet of mono-filament (shallow lake fishing) old fashioned cork-float, BB sized weight, cricket hook and use earthworm for bait. That setup has worked for me for over 50 years.

I use a JD special. It is a 9ft 8wt eyeless fly rod with a Mr. Crappie jigging reel. I have a couple of originals and one that Danny Lambert is making. The combo weighs about 6oz.
