Default Model 12s

Considering building a collection of model 12's......I was given my grandfathers Model 12 16 gauge recently and just have a man crush on the gun........

Any pitfalls to look for when buying?
Would like to eventually have the 12, 20 and 4/10

I have a 12 ga. that my dad gave me.
I hear you are not supposed to shoot steel shot thru them.
I haven't hunted with it. Just keep it clean and in the cabinet.

Check the serial numbers..... You can print them from computer. Some are worth way more than others. Most go for around $400-500 range but some are in the $1000-1200 range.
I bought a 16ga model 12 several years ago for $300 it was made in 1937 & is emaculant. It in the $1000 range
Check Gun Broker, Guns International, Guns America these sites will also give you an idea at what you're looking at & what it's worth by checking serial #s
