PLEASE SHARE: Updated information from the Department of Health on Louisiana waters.

Here is an interactive map showing the location of Louisiana waters that are under an advisory. DHH collects water samples weekly from beach sites and analyzes them to see if high levels of fecal coliform and enterococci bacteria are present. DHH updated this map just before 3:30pm.

Flesh eating bacteria has killed one Louisiana swimmer and infected 3 others, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.
