Most of the people from Cameron, Creole and Grand CHenier go there instead of Holly Beach.
It is pretty much dead on week days.

I have always found Rutherford beach to always be muddy. I stopped going many years ago. When i used to wade out into the water i was in mud to my ankles and not sand.

Hwy. 82. Between Cameron and Grand Chenier. Go south on Hwy. 27 from Lake Charles. Don't stop till you get to a T. Then turn right till you see a beach sign. Go South till you hit the beach.

Oak Grove actually goes between the Grand Chenier Bridge and the Y outside Cameron. The beach is right in the middle of Oak Grove. Not a town, just a long road.
