Default Kudos to Kevin at Sport Trail - new build

Kevin just built a sweet custom trailer for my new Morada 22 that I wanted to share.

Big thanks to Jack J for loaning his boat to do precise takeoffs for the trailer build.

Here are a few pics and a video link to how a SportTrail is built.

I asked him to add a low profile ladder for getting out when loading the boat alone. Top step is flush with deck. No need to balance on top of the spare getting out anymore. :-)

Some build details: C channel all welded aluminum, Sharkhide coated, LEDs everywhere, including backup LEDS, ratchet straps for bow and stern, SS brakes, all dis-similar metals isolated (note jack, winch, spare mounting), custom bunks for stepped hull.

Hull pic, fyi, on a 'shop' trailer at Islamorada Boatworks.

I was wondering why you didn't get a sport trail when I saw your hull in the other thread. I've heard great things about em.

Kevin put a trailer together for my BlackJack and I couldn't be happier. He is great to work with and puts out a superior product.

See the SportTrail video above - it was for a BJ - might be yours.

Kevin is super service oriented too. Every call or email was answered within 24 hours. That is getting rare these days.

My trailer is not the one in the video but they are both very similar...just different bells and whistles. Here are a couple pictures of mine to show off some more of Kevin's work. Upon looking at some of the updates on your trailer compared to mine, it looks like their bay boat trailers are just getting better and better.

I asked Kevin about custom guide post covers and he had them printed for me after I bought my trailer.

Did y'all go with standard greased hubs or oil bath?

Edit: baseball, yours looks like grease?
