Default Biloxi this weekend

Hey guy's, I'll be heading to Biloxi tomorrow for a short vacation. I was hoping someone could give some insight on beach/pier fishing there since we won't be towing a boat. If all else fails, I guess we can swing the sticks. Thanks in advance!

What do you plan on targeting? If trout, you should take the ship island excursion out to the Island, I am hearing they're catching some really nice trout in the surf down there. You will have to do some walking, but if you can, go as far down the outside of the island to the East towards the Camille cut and bring some live shrimp or croakers. You can get live shrimp from the Biloxi Harbor Bait and Fuel Dock, tell my Uncle Pat I said hello, he owns the bait shop. He is good people and if you ask him where they're catching he will tell you what he has been hearing. If you find yourself down on the point around the Golden Nugget Casino, stop in at Gorenflo's tackle located behind the Casino and ask Danny, he is also kin and should be able to give you some info, but his info is primarily offshore but again he will let you know what he knows.

I am heading that way for the 4th and plan on dragging the boat down as well, gona try the outside of Ship Island as this time of year if you find the trout they will be nice size around 22" or larger. The larger the croakers you get the larger the trout you will play tug a war with. You got watch out for the Reds, they're also thick right now and the bull reds will give you a run for your money if your tackle is not up to par.

Good luck

No issues, if you find yourself down there next week for the 4th let me know, I am dragging my boat down there and so far no fishing partner to go with.

I would take you up on that offer, but we're heading home Sunday. I'll let you know how it goes.
