Default Duck/ goose shells

I was looking to get some input on what y'all use for ducks and also for geese. Any input on choke tubes would be appreciated also. Thanks

The answers are going to be 2 3/4" #6 all the way to 6" TTTTT.
Personally I shoot 3" or 3 1/2" #4s for ducks but always bring some BB or T shot for geese. Modified for ducks , extra full for geese.

Ok. What brands do y'all prefer. Is it worth spending the money on blindside or hevi metal?

I stay full choke w/ 3" #2 for ducks and 3" T Shot for the special bellies. Just my preference, it's worked well for me for a long time.

Be careful if you use T shot, it's risky - you could quickly get blamed for single handedly destroying the refuge system, and will be known as a skybuster...

For decoying ducks, 2 3/4 #6 will smoke them all day long. For decoying geese, 3 inch #3 or a 3 1/2. The 3 1/2 will give you a lot more shot giving you more wiggle room on missing. Never shot blind sides but I have shot black clouds before and was very impressed. I didn't believe they were any different until I shot one and it smoked birds. Do I think they are worth the extra money? Not really. I don't care for xperts. I'm a fan of federals even though they are a dirty shell. I also like Remington shells. G&H had some awesome deal on those rio shells and they are a great shell as we'll. My biggest thing when buying shells is the shot weight. For 2 3/4 I won't shoot anything less than 1 1/8 oz. for 3 inch I shoot 1 3/8 oz and 3 1/2 I shoot 1 1/2 oz

I thought I was shooting blanks when hunting with black cloud. Personally I wasn't impressed at all. Heard other guys say they love them though.

I've heard both good and bad I shoot the best deal I can find in 3 1/2 #2 for geese and 3" #4 or #6 if I can find them

I shoot 3 inch number 4's. I shoot eather the kents, the cheap winchester experts or the remington sportsman steel. Im not gunna spend a bunch of money on shells when the cheaper ones make ducks sail out of the sky. The only higher end shell that i was impressed with was the heavy metal. That seems to reach out and hit them at much greater distances.

3" 1-1/4" #5 Kent teal steel for ducks. If ducks, even mallards are over the deeks or coming in that is more than enough....

Geese 3" #2....
