Had my worst trip ever on Vernon lake also. Wasn't just Toledo.

My cousins went up there yesterday. Caught one fish and that was their only bite. You're not alone

Doesnt look like the elite had any problems catching on Rayburn.

Sunday on Toledo was rough - fished coves where water temps were 48-49 degrees. Fished slow and weightless. Landed one 2lbr and lost another at the boat. Missed a couple of bites but other than that it was tough.

Alton was the only elite I noticed. However if you ever fished against the 20th place team you can agree they are elite material.

well it is a huge step up from local weekend anglers to the elite level. these guys fish rayburn every week. put an elite angler on a lake he only goes to MAYBE once a year and still put 25+ lb in the boat with maybe 4 days of practice, thats the difference between elite and weekend guys. u expect weekend guys to catch big sacks on a lake they have fished all there life. the pro's go to a lake once a year and still catch 70-100 lb to win a tournament. now thats good.

Agree 100%. And that was Little Alton that won it I Believe. His dad was prefishing for the classic this weekend.
I agree 100% with you tho. Getting to fish side by side with several elites on my home water, watching them discover some of my best kept honey holes, and work them in and out showed just how "good" they can be

Yep. He knows that lake very well. Surprised to see some of the big names that low. 20th usually pulls some chunks. Can fish a lake like nobody's business. Not just Rayburn.
But you can't win them all.

Wish I'd be at the lake this weekend, should be good.
