Default Fitch

I'm thinking this is the correct name "Fitch" by Evinrude. What's the story on these? All I can remember is they where junk. Searched hull truth and such just wanted some south LA input. Thanks for any info.

If you had one of the good ones, it was a good one. Otherwise, Fitch caused Evinrude to go belly up and Bombardier bought the brand (and the Fitch technology) which they improved and now call it Etec.

I had a Ficht* for 13 years. Blew the power pack one time in its lifespan, but other than that it was a great motor. I may have been one of the rare cases with an overall good experience with one of these motors
