fillet them from the tail to the gills instead of started at the gills... You probably already know that, but just in case

To the OP, nice view and awesome dinner, I can smell the grease from Fl.

Happy Easter to the Salty Cajun Family!

Time to purge some bugs tomorrow!

Cheers!

From where your pic was taken, looks like you are staying just a few camps down from the one my father shares with his brother and sister. I haven't been down in about a year. Need to take the wife and kids this summer.

By the way, that little island/large sandbar that's built up in front has become a pain in the ***. Messed up the night fishing, and now makes it impossible to have your boat tied up at the warf and ready to take off at daybreak for the fishing hole.

However, if you go on the other side early in the morning and cast out in Camanada with glow sparkle beetles on jig heads, you should pick up some trout, if tide is moving.

Last time I took the wife down, she caught specks and white trout casting from that island without even getting her feet wet.

Yea the island is a pain...we can get in the break on the gulf side (actually where we caught all the sheephead). But water is only 3-4 feet deep in front the camp.
