Default Why I don't wade fish....

A Baytown was man killed by flesh eating bacteria from a wade fishing trip. I know this is rare, but man what an awful way to go...

can just as easily happen from *****ing your finger on a shrimp in your livewell. That bacteria grows rapidly in warm salty water, so only real threat this time of year.

Engineer with Stone Energy lost 3 fingers and a thumb from this several years ago. Cast netting and got *****ed by a skrimps, this stuff goes from
0-60 in just hours. Best is you keep a bottle of bleach on the boat to disinfect any pokes or cuts.

We lost a family member to this six years ago. He had a sore on his leg and went swimming off the beach in Florida. Three days later he died because it had spread to his organs.

Real Deal....Make sure you pay attention to symptoms once in contact with salt water..
