Default 30k limit, what to get

I sold my 2110 couple weeks ago, and im starting to search for a used rig again. Dont really want to go over 30k, looking for something 22ft w/ at least 200hp. The 2110 was underpowered w/ the f150 and the ride was very wet in the chop...layout was strong, which is the main reason i bought the rig. Im currently considering a 22 lts, 2220 blazer, 2200v, 22 purebay, etc. curious to hear some opinions on what to consider and what not to consider, pros and cons from owners of some of these rigs. I dont plan on buying really soon, i was going to wait and hit a winter deal like i did last year. thanks for the feedback.

Just sold my Blue Wave a couple of weeks ago too and started looking for a 22ft with a 200+ on it. Looking at the Nautic Star...like the storage and fished with Jared recently in his 24....nice boat. A dealership in FL is advertising new 22' Sports with a 150 for $29K and there are a couple of used Tourney Editions with 200's for $25K - $30K in Houston. Planning to wait until the fall also to buy.

purebay2200 is underpowered with the 150... 200 is ok... the 225 is perfect.

I have the 2110 with a 150 and the power seems good enough. I'm not in any kind of race. If I were you I'd skip the 22' and go for the 24'. Seems to me 22 is not much of a step up. I fished from both and the 24 is a much more noticeable difference. My next boat will be a 24'. Preferably the LTS. That thing is a tank.

there is a used one in br 2004 model...i still consider it because i believe it to be a solid hull and i hear the ride is unmatched. i thought about getting it and repowering few years down the road. it does not look that bad, comes with a 225 opti. other than the hull there is nothing impressive though. guy is asking 22500. i would love to take it out in lake pelto with a 10-15mph wind and see just how well they actually perform.

I had mine out in 30mph wind true 4' seas last Friday ( not by choice) n it handled business , now am I telling you to make a habit of doin that no but when put into the situation I make it back safe and nothing was loose/ broke on my boat . The next day 20 -25 moh east winds in timbilier bay i could run 35-40 mph no problems if you wanna go cut donuts in lake p n run thru em I'll take you on a test drive... You will be sold

It is pretty much impossible these days to buy a new bay boat for 30k. Of course, the exception is the Nautic Star 2110 but you just had one of those. If you are buying used there are lots of boats out there for under 30k. In addition to the ones you mentioned, the Key West 216 is a hell of a boat and the Tidewater has a great reputation as being very well built, especially considering its price.

If you can wait for the right deal you can find one in your price range. I only paid a couple thousand more than you want to spend for mine with a four stroke suzuki 250, powerpole, jackplate, gps, tm, trimtabs

You can buy a Frontier at Lake Area Marine for around 30k but that is before taxes, electronics and other options. You can also but a Tidewater 2100 for about the same price in Texas and down in Houma.
