Default Grand Isle during Tarpon Rodeo?

My company has a camp down in Grand Isle that employees can use and I'm trying to schedule for next summer. The only dates available are July 24-30... I'm pretty sure the Tarpon Rodeo will be from July 23-26.

Our camp is in the area behind Bridgeside Marina. The Marina seems like it would probably be a big party spot but maybe not? The camp is the farthest camp Southwest of Bridgeside so it is fairly secluded and definitely away from the main part of the island. I've heard that Tarpon Rodeo gets pretty wild but have never been there so I don't know where all the partying happens. Do any of you that have been there during that time think that would be an OK family environment??

From what I have seen, lots of kids stuff during the day including kid specific stuff at the event tent. However, when you see that sun going down, lock the kids up inside and shut the blinds!! lol, at this tell your wife you need to go to the "supermarket" for about 3 hours

I'd go if that was the only weekend open. You can stay away from the majority of the bs. Good thing about Bridgeside is you don't have far to travel once on island. But if you need to go anywhere further onto the island, traffic will be a nightmare.

What age is your family??
They have a pretty rough and wild crowd.
It's more of an 18+ event in my opinion.
The streets are packed with people, the crowds are all drunk.
Don't get me wrong I've been a part of it before.
I think of u stay at the camp and make it a family event your ok, but if u venture out be prepared to use "ear-muffs" and "blinders"
