Cameron Jetties
It seemed to be a producer in the 90s. |

I fished the east side in my yak Saturday but got rained out soon after I got there. The sargassum (seaweed) was pretty much everywhere and it was hard to fish. The water clarity gets better as you go further out along side the jetties; but, in my opinion, the water was not quite salty enough.

My question exactly
We once launched kayaks at the campground by the jetties but it was a long drag across the beach and a big mud flat. Not easy |

I parked in the Jetty Pier parking lot and dragged my yak to the beach. It really wasn't that difficult dragging it, even with it loaded with a small ice-chest, castnet, live bait bucket, rods, etc. Actually it was a great workout.
