Question Perception Prescador vs Hertiage Redfish

I have been thinking for awhile of getting a yak to fish some places around Lake Charles and also when I make trips to Toledo when I have to haul my utility trailer. I know some of yall have the Prescador but I am wondering if anyone has a Redfish and or has anyone fished or used them both and what's yalls thoughts.

Hobie is supposed to introduce a new kayak this week. If they haven't already.
First new one in a few years.

Pescador all the way, it's the old Tarpon hull and for half the price. It's fast and with a little practice you can stand in it no problem. The redfish is nice but I've talked to the guys at Pack-n-Paddle before and they said that when you hit the wind sometimes the redfish tends to spin if you don't have a rudder, b/c it is so flat on the bottom.

I tried both the Tarpon 120 and Native Redfish 12 (same thing as Heritage Redfish) and I chose the Redfish. It's way more stable for a first timer such as myself and it's cheaper.

My nephew works at P & P. He is the one who demo's and shows the yaks.
Sent him a text to see what he thinks.

His opinion:

Both are great kayaks for the price. Also easier to find because they are usually first time buyers kayaks. Redfish is a more stable kayak. Pescador is a more efficient paddling. Basically faster. It is a classic trade off you see between any two kayaks you compare. Stability vs efficiency. I highly recomment at least a 12 ft. kayak.
Also, there is a flyer hanging up at Pack and Paddle for a wilderness systems "Tarpon 140" for about $800 with some accessories. The Pescador is the old Tarpon hull. They are very similar.

took me a while to find the one i wanted used but i def recommend getting what you want or you will regret it. there is big difference in yaks depending on what you want and if won't track straight you won't be fishing just paddling.

Yeah I know Boh, talk to him everytime I see him over there. My name is Paul Vondenstein, mention that to him he'll know me and my dad and both brothers are in there all the time. One more note on the kayak is to demo every boat that P & P has to offer. I went in thinking I wanted one kayak and ended up walking out with another one, the best thing is to try them out, all of them.
