Quickie this morning before it was back to the grind. Headed through fog to the trout spot. It was on on, but size was kinda disappointing and there was a boat in the path of where I wanted to try. Sun was high enough and the water was just right for a pond I had in mind for reds, so I bagged the trout-dredging operation and got into stealth mode.
Reds were all over the pond, but still somewhat spooky. Caught both tailing and cruising fish and saw close to forty. Fish were fat and sluggish in the 53 degree water, but the dumb ones were eager to chew. Some perplexing spooks as well, but all in fun. Good times!
