Default Lacassine 5/11

Me and feesherman hit up lacassine this morning to find some bream. We found a few. None real big but we kept 55 nice whole fryers. After we ran out of crickets we tried for bass a little while. Picked up a few small ones but big enough to get a chunk of meat. Nice day to be out there.

They got a bazillion of these. Should be good next year if no natural disaster hits.

Not very many people this morning but the crowd started showing up this evening when we were leaving. I guess everyone was kinda iffy about the weather early.

Nice catch Dawg. Where you get your crickets at? Gotta go run the boat at some point, and if all goes good, I want to hit lacassine and try and get on that bream action.

We did try in the flats and didn't do well where we tried. We caught all our bream in the canals. Bass we caught in flats. The flat we caught the bass in though had a few bream in it. But canals are pretty much full if you find where there's not too much grass in the canal there will be perch.

Petsmart on Prien Lake sells crickets. Cost about 0.12 apiece depending on size.
