Day 1 with Lonnie Barr and the INOLECT Group down in Grand Isle. Got to love the forecast!!! LOL, can the weather man just get it right once? Please?............. Ha, well we started off the morning looking for trout in the stained-dirty water. We found a few trout willing to bite but nothing to talk about. We decided to hit the marsh for reds and on our way we found birds diving on shrimp. Double rigged Avocado Matrix Shad, Avocado Cocodrie Cocahoes, and TTF Killer Flats minnows had the trout coming in just about every cast but they were all small fish. All it took was one more stop in the marsh and we found the red-fish stacked up. We iced down 7 reds in the first 50 yard stretch of bank on Avocado Cocodrie Cocahoes, and Black/Chart TTF Killer Flats Minnows. We kept on drifting and kept on catching!!! Everyone had a blast reeling in the big brutes. Big thanks to Lonnie Barr for setting everything up and to Capt Travis Miller for running the second boat. Hoping the weather man can get his forecast right for once..
Thanks also to Capt Rob DuPont for taking care of Barry Connors for me down in Dularge and busting them up.
