Default 2-21 Catch and release Sacs

Promised Lil-c a sac trip this afternoon so picked him up from school and off we went.Told him we had not promised any so we were going to release any that we caught because I didnt feel like cleaning and wasnt hungry for any. They were extremely shallow today and as you can see we found them about 30 yards from the launch, good luck and they were caught on the creole magic tubes(blue and white),caught and realeased 17 and 2 bass.

Nice job as always! A buddy and I will be out there this morning Big C. How deep should I fish? I've been there a few times cause I'm friends with some of the family that owns the land but apparently none of them know ow to get on the sacs. Lol.

fish about 24 inches deep, they are on the banks,if you are hitting grass shallower if not a little deeper,in the picture you can see where I was catching them.Good Luck

Thanks for the tip. I'll post a report for you. I'm definitely a freshwater fishing amateur but we'll give it out best shot.

Default 2-21 Catch and release Sacs

Ended up getting about 15 in the boat today. Need to count them. Literally lost more at the boat than the 15 we are bringing home. We needed a net! They kept wanting to jump and would pop the line or spit the hook at the boat. Ended up using a bucket as a net for most of the day. Still fun. All are some real Big slabs! I'll post a pic later. Must have got hung up in trees or underwater branches 1,000,000,000,000,000 times too.

I fished out there last Monday morning in that cold strong north wind. Just had to go before coming back to work. Caught a couple nice ones towards the back along the bank. Can't wait to get back and try to find them again.

Caught them just like big C said in his original post. Mostly close to the edges of grass lines and flooded brush. Caught most on black and chartreuse hair jigs and tube jigs though. After morning bite died had to use a crappie nibble on the hook to entice the bite.
