Default Wrong species

Brother in law caught this on a crankbait fishing on the calcasieu a few days ago. I was able to get the hook out and let it go, but the snake was not happy. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1437239882.960722.jpg

Default Snake Whisperer

Mother Nature should be sending you a medal, it bet it was pissed off.
Reminds me of the time I had to extract a Chug Bug from a Mallard Hen, she was not happy with the situation.

Pretty sure I would have donated a rod and reel and crankbait to the river that day.

Glad I'm not the only one! I would have lost the rod and reel, the 17 rounds in my pistol, and had to toss the pair of consons I was wearing.

Just a water snake. They flatten their head like that when threatened. It will make you take a second look though.

I figure we are all just trying to make a living, snakes included. And it wasnt his fault he got hooked. Also, I have always liked snakes so it's not in me to kill them for no real reason.
