Default 9-19 Hunt

Made a trip with a couple of my co-workers this morning to our hunting club in Texas. We had our three man limit at 7:05. We were hunting on a DU project near near El Campo.

The Boeuf WMA in N La has some walk in fields completely covered in coffee beans. I've had a couple good hunts in there for sure

Nice Casey.

Been wondering what those beans where, all the pastures around the marsh I hunt are covered in those.

nice job

coffeebeans are Sesbania. The one in the pic is what we call rattlebox Sesbania drummondii and the other common one is S. macrocarpa or S. exaltata (same thing). I had never heard of it called anything else until I heard a guy call it indigo as well last year

It is not usually a desired species in moist-soil units because it is robust and displaces other more desirable plants, but I have found the seeds in many ducks especially teal.
