Default Excited and Sad about duck season today...

I'm getting ready this morning to head out the the duck blind. Soooo excited it starts today, but it's sad at the same time because my dog started heart worm treatments 2 weeks ago and won't be able to hunt this season. I just had a lil sit down chat with her explaining it...haha. She usually gets so excited when I'm loading shotguns and shell bags. It's like she knows but this whole season I have to see how sad she is when I have to leave her behind.

....at least it's to make her better...

Good luck to everyone today and this season...STAY SAFE!!!

It was teal central at our blind this morning. We gout our 4 person limit of GWT and had 2 hollywoods in the bag this morning. Was a real quick hunt. We didn't wait around for the big ducks today.

They do know . My uncles retriever freaks out when he's packing up to go duck hunting. One time he went to Mexico to duck hunt , he was "prepping " his gear for 2 weeks b4 . The dog was so excited .... Needless to say he didn't take the dog with him to Mexico ... The whole time he was gone the dog ate holes thru the drywall, crapped and pissed everywhere .!!!!!

That's definitely true Pox...normally when I load the truck and go hunting she would be coming and before I left I would tell her to go give mom a kiss and she would jump up in the bed and lick my Girlfriend on the face before we left to go hunting. They learn the rituals you go through before going hunting and get excited before you even tell them to load up in the truck.
