He has a boat as well.. He is a very good angler, I've fished against him in tournaments

A 5.5 will not raise any eyebrows on the west side of the state, but that fish on the east side would put him up there for the STAR if it was going on

Besides that, it was caught from the bank just a few miles from a heavy, heavy industrial trucking route servicing Port Fourchon.

And that spot and a dozen others are flown past by thousands of fishermen per years towing boats or en route to six figure camps and boats who will likely never sniff even a 23 inch+ trout in a decade of fishing Grand Isle. And who would never dream of lowering themselves to fishing such a location.

But if you want to be a Richard about it, knock yourself out...

Yeah, I got that vibe also. There are some really good roadside fishing spots right there. I have to work down there occasionally and always am able to bring a few fish home even if I only get an hour or so to fish in the afternoons. It is one of few places you can have good luck without a boat. Its also a long ride from any large town so its not really all that crowded except near the popular spots. Throw in a kayak and you have miles of water to fish.
