I have one. I've only shot it once. It doesn't have a lot of recoil and it's nice and small. The laser isn't visible during the day but if you need to use that little gun it'll probably be up close and personal. The only thing I don't like about it is it only comes with 1 magazine. However, I love it. I usually pocket Carry mine

My wife has one. She likes it due to the fact that she has really small hands. It actually doesn't feel awkward in my hands for such a small gun. I much prefer it over the Ruger LCP. For the price though, I would reccomend getting the Shield or Compact instead. Have her try all of them out before buying.

i was planning on surprising her with it but i might just let her try them out and see which one she is most comfortable with.

how does your wife feel about the recoil?

I have one, it's been sent back to smith and Wesson almost 1 year ago, wouldn't fire half the time. Will never buy another S&W product

I can't speak for all s&w but the couple of their pistols I shot jammed on a regular basis. Idk the price difference but you may want to look at the beretta nano that just came out. I know it's really small and comes in 380. I'm sure it'd be a fine gun if it's in the price range
