Default How to stay out of duck hunters way

Thinking of fishing the mash some this weekend but don't want to mess any ones duck hunting up do a lot of people hunt around the salt ditch area just trying to stay out of every ones way

Most of the marsh around the salt ditch is private and hunted. Most teal hunters are done in the first hour or hour and a half though.

Yes it's private, I certainly wouldn't go in that marsh during duck season. Best not to go in it at all.

Thanks were would be the best place to get on some reds with out getting around any hunters

If your looking for protected waters, I would ease up Choupique Bayou for a while, then go to the salt ditch and black lake.

Go behind the weirs and catch your reds and a limit of shrimp and crabs!

Definitely wouldn't advise that. They've been chasing guys out of there......Gator season and duck hunting back there, I wouldn't want to be back there.....but that's just me.....

I hope no one is duck hunting back there, game wardens would leave shrimpers alone and stay busy for awhile on that one.
