Looked at them, never fished them. They have a 50 dollar one at academy split grip. Didn't know if it was worth it or not

Fool I have two just like you described......to me they are good for the money. I do not mind spending money on reels (I have 3 Curados) but I hate to spend a lot of money on rods!

I've had 2 of them brake while setting the hook also wasn't a fan after that but love my falcon. I'm now trying to talk myself into a billystix but hard to do during hunting season. It'll probably have to wait till after the first of the year possibly tax time and then maybe I can get two.

Never had that happen to my two. I have been having them for over a year. However, I am not one of those that does a hook set that if I miss I will fly out of the boat.

I am one of those that will fly out of the boat if I miss and I have broken one of these rods. I set the hook hard especially bass fishing. I broke this rod fishing a spro frog over some matted grass. Bass blew up and sucked the frog into the slop and I hammered the hook. The rod didn't like the additional weight and broke in half 3/4 of the way up the blank. For 50 bucks I think they are a good deal as long as your local academy will honor the warranty.

I'll look into one another time LC academy does honor the warranty majority of the time. LCT is better on warranty though

i use them. I love them. Had one break on me and the only reason it broke is that i stepped on it. They are some of the strongest rods i have seen on the market. I have had so many problems with Falcons i would never buy another. Just me though. All my rods go through a lot of wear and tear throughout the year and they all have held up well. Action is a tad heavier, all rods i used in the past we meadium action and with Ar's i go with meadium light. They are very sensitive rods also. I use troutmaster lites. and all my client rods are limit stixs.

My brother in law has some Am. Rodsmith rods. They are pretty nice.

As for the Billy Stix rods, they are not expensive compared to most custom rods.
They look like you want them to look like, and they are built like you want them built.
They are not off the shelf, take what they give you rods.
